Leaving Chennai-Atlast

Hi guys! Only 4 days more.Then I am leaving Sybrant and Chennai. I am heading to my homeland, Kolkata.Its a mixed feelings for me now. I came to Chennai before 5 years almost, on 30th July, 2005, to study M.Sc in IITMadras. I didn’t know much about Chennai.And I didn’t have any friends over there.So was a little bit tensed.But, after entering  IIT my life has been changed.IIT has taught me many things.The main is to balance in life.There I have enjoyed very much.Both study and other refreshment like sports, gossiping,playing went simultaneously in a balanced way.Though we had quizes every month, didn’t feel much pressure.Also I have got a lots of genius profs in IIT and also  some best friends in my life. Anyway after finishing M.Sc in Maths in IIT, I had 2 choices-PhD or job.After analyzing a lots of thing, I went for job.I came to Sybrant Technologies-a start-up company.So, there was risk involved in my decision.Gradually the company became stable.It had its difficulty as almost all start-up has. There was some project pressures, nightouts etc. I had some difficulty outside IIT too. Inside campus, arrangement was good.Outside IIT, the culture is totally different.The room rent, weather,scarcity of water,food problem,bus problem and many other things.But with time I was habituated with all these adversities.But now time has come up.My sister got married and parents are alone.I am not liking IT fields that much.I wanted to go back in academics and opportunity has come.Also, to be settled in native place is always better I guess.So, I am moving to Kolkata to join as a lecturer in a govt college in Kolkata.I am going to my native place, to my parents.But will miss Chennai somewhat.Thanx Chennai, my friends and colleagues over here…
